Don't forget the basics

Recently we were asked to look at someone's existing website to review its usability. The site had many fine (and some fancy) features, but amongst all the slickness they had forgotten to carry out some simple tests to make sure the site was robust. As it turned out, it was easy to bring down the site by entering rogue data, which meant that potential customers could not contact the business using the online forms until the site was restored.

Downtime for your online presence can really damage business, as visitors will just go elsewhere. It is always going to be difficult to control what pressure the users will put on the system, so it's important to get the testing right.

Don't lose precious buyer time because of missing out the basics, contact Aigen Ltd to make sure your online presence keeps working for you.

Introducing the Aigen3

Fancy something different with your business and introduction cards? We've come up with a fab new design we're calling the Aigen3.

Each set is made of three cards chained together with an oxidised copper ball chain giving the sets a funky, antique look.

As usual for us, all the cards are made from recycled paper, but there's an extra treat as the back of the cards are given different textured finishes.

If you want to make an impact with your business and introduction cards, contact Aigen Ltd for a price for the Aigen3.

Targeting the right visitors

Here at Aigen we are particularly interested in making sure our designs are fit for purpose. Many of the most heavily visited websites are designed with a target audience in mind, or at least have features that suit their high volume users. A lot of businesses may have ideas about what they want their website to look like in order to create a brand or mood. However, it's sometimes easy to forget that the business owners are unlikely to be the same people using the website. When we build websites for our clients, we try to find out who will be using the websites and what sort of activities they will want to perform when visiting the site. Knowing this will ensure that site visitors will find what they want and will keep returning to the site.

Make sure your website is usable and attractive to your target audience by contacting Aigen Ltd for more details

Conventions in Colour

Establishing colour conventions in your design is important as it sets the tone for your brand and provides useful visual cues to your customers about your intentions. Some of the most well-recognised brands use a distinct palette to establish their identity. This also makes their products easy to spot amongst the competition.

However, applying your own colour convention isn't as simple as selecting green because you're into environmental issues. The range of colours in a design sets the mood; for example some colours might give off a trivial mood if too garish, but conversely a muted, tonal palette can be dull and unappealing in the wrong setting.

For unique solutions in digital and print marketing, contact Aigen to help you get the identity right for your company.

Design for purpose

When building a website, design for your market and include features that will appeal to the users you are trying to reach. Funky, interactive animations may look cool, but if your site is an online application these elements can become annoying to repeat visitors.

Make sure you get your site designed for purpose by contacting Aigen.

How trustworthy is your online shop?

When users come to your website, don't think that advertising everything as free is a good idea. Users want to see the cost of the products, so hiding away a price list in the site map creates distrust.

Contact Aigen for help with your web marketing, and avoid losing business because of basic mistakes.
